Eat Like a Local in Vegas (Off the Strip Hidden Gems)

Hello everyone! I know it’s Monday. No one loves Monday. It’s the worst day of the week. But since you stop by my blog, I am going to make you feel better after reading this post. I promise 🙂

This will be the last post of my 2014 Las Vegas series (to read previous LV posts, please click here). And I save the best to the last. So I’m going to share with you my top 3 restaurants in Las Vegas. Get your notepad/evernote ready!

Hot n Juicy Crawfish @ Spring Mountain Road

If you are a big seafood lover and enjoy hot and spicy food, you certainly cannot miss Hot n Juicy Crawfish. The restaurant is featured on “Man VS Food” for its hottest crawfish in the country and has made it on the Cooking Channel’s Unique Eats Restaurant list.

Eat Like a Local in Vegas (Off the Strip Asian Restaurants)

Having traveled to so many places in my life, I’ve learned that the best restaurants are sometimes hidden in local neighborhoods. Personally, I like spending a day or two outside the downtown area . Just to get away from the touristy area and see what the city has to offer. By taking the buses, walking in the local neighborhoods and interacting with the locals, you get to see a different side of the city. Exploring like a local really makes your experience unique and memorable. Also, it may save you some money 😛

In Vegas, Kev and I visited a few local restaurants. Here are some Asian places we went. Maybe on your next trip to Vegas, you might consider paying a visit! Click to read more!

Burger Fever in Sin City (Las Vegas South Strip restaurants)

Happy Friday everyone! Any burger lover out there? Kev and I had a burger fever on our Las Vegas trip last Christmas. Just thought I would share with you our eatery adventure in celebration of all the hard work you put in for the week. This is my first time joining the Fiesta Friday community. Thanks Angie and The Novice Gardener for putting together this weekly Friday party. Hope you all have an awesome weekend!

Max Brenner Chocolate by the Bald Man@ Caesar Palace

Max Brenner is my all time favorite. I first knew about it when I was in NYC. From then on, I am addicted to it. When I went back to Asia, I was delighted to find their Singapore branch to continue feeding my Max Brenner addiction. When I found out there’s also a branch in Las Vegas, I was overjoyed! XD Too bad this branch is now permanently closed, but we could still satiate our hunger through photos 😛

The restaurant was conveniently located inside the Forum Shops at Caesar Palace.

Restaurants Hopping in Sin City (Las Vegas South Strip)

In my last LV post, I shared with you our dining adventures to the North Strip restaurants. Today, let’s take a look at what’s worth visiting (and what’s not) on the South Strip!

Hash House A Go Go @ The Quad

Located on the second floor of The Quad hotel, Hash House A Go Go is a 24-hour diner-like restaurant. Walking down the aisle towards the restaurant, you can see celebrities’ autographs, awards and magazine articles it was featured in on the wall. We found out that it was featured on various TV shows, including “Man Vs. Food,” “Martha Stewart Show,” and “Rachel Ray’s Vacation,”  and is known for serving twisted farm food in oversized portions.  This place is quite famous indeed!
