Disclaimer: I was formally invited and ate with the restaurant owner. The meal was paid for by Cafe 100%. The review does not include comments on service because we were obviously treated differently as invited guests as opposed to restaurant patrons. All opinions are my own and I tried my best to highlight the goods and bads. All photos (except the ‘entrance’ shot) are provided by the restaurant.
I was honored to be invited by Cafe 100% earlier this month to visit their restaurant. Just opened about 2 months ago, Cafe 100% has quickly captured attention, particularly from young adults. Having heard my Chinese friends praising about their food, I made a mental note to try certain dishes, but never really got the chance to check it out myself. As the opportunity came along, Kev and I gladly accepted it. It’s about time to try something new! Click to read more!

Calgary is densely populated with Italian restaurants, but only a few are truly exceptional. (La Piccola Napoli is a great place to start) This was our second time visiting Cibo and it took us over a year to revisit this place. From The Big Taste, Taste of Calgary to YYC Burger Weerk, locals are invited to celebrate Calgary’s vibrant food scene throughout the year
In the fall, over 40 restaurants around the city will gear up for YYC Pizza Week. During this 10-day event, they will put forward their specialty pizzas and compete in one of the 3 categories: thin, thick, or unique crust. Click to read more!
If I were asked to choose the most vibrant neighborhood in Calgary, it would definitely be Kensington. Nowhere is more lively and trendy than this district in Calgary city. With more than 250 unique shops and restaurants, you could easily spend a day or an entire weekend there. In the summer, it is busy with all the fun events and festivals you could join. Never a dull moment. Click to read more!
Famoso is where Kev and I religiously go to whenever we crave authentic pizza. Dedicated in bringing the taste of Naples to its customers, Famoso makes their Neapolitan pizzas with authentic ingredients (campania tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, caputo ’00’ flour) in a bell oven. With its floor-to-ceiling windows and dome-shaped roof, you felt as though you were in Italy.
